How to Add Beneficiaries to an Estate Plan 

You can designate anyone as a beneficiary in your Estate Plan, allowing for multiple beneficiaries or even a backup beneficiary.


You'll be prompted to name beneficiaries during the initial questionnaire after purchasing your Estate Plan, or you can edit your beneficiaries later by following the instructions below:


How to Add or Edit Beneficiaries

Once logged into your account, follow these steps to edit your beneficiaries:


1. Click Summary in the left-hand menu.

2. Scroll down to Distributions and click Edit.

3. Click Save & Continue to navigate through the questions until prompted to specify who you would like to receive your assets.

4. If you added children in the Basics section, you can select their names to list them as beneficiaries, or choose the Other option to name an individual as a beneficiary.

5. To change a listed beneficiary or add a second beneficiary, click +Add Another Beneficiary.

6. Click Save & Continue to save your changes.


Backup beneficiary questions will follow this section, so continue by clicking Save & Continue.
