Sharing Documents Terms & Disclaimers
When Sharing Your Estate Plan Documents
Sharing documents allows you to designate individuals to access and view the estate planning documents created through your FastWill account. Those you share with will be able to view the documents and information, but they will not be able to make changes.
By sharing these documents, you authorize and consent to FastWill providing access to the documents and information in your account. If your account includes documents for your spouse, this access extends to their documents and information as well. This constitutes your consent to disclose personal information to third parties, as outlined in FastWill Privacy Policy.
Please be aware that individuals you share with may be able to retain, copy, save, or download some or all of the information you share. They may also redisclose that information without your knowledge or approval. While you can revoke shared access through your account, this may not limit access to information already saved or prevent the redisclosure of information already provided.
It's important to note that your estate plan must be signed to be legally valid. The documents you share may not be legally enforceable copies; therefore, the signed, original documents are the most critical version for you to keep safe and secure.
When Receiving Shared Documents
You have been granted view-only access to documents created through FastWill. These documents are shared to provide you with information about an estate plan, but they are not intended to be legally enforceable copies.
Your access to these documents does not create any legal rights, duties, or obligations. The individual who shared these documents may choose not to execute them or may revoke, amend, or replace them, meaning the information shared with you may no longer be current. You may not be informed of such decisions.
FastWill is not responsible for the content of these documents, the decisions reflected in them, or the decision to share or cease sharing these documents.
You should treat the information and documents shared with you as private and confidential. You should not re-share, save, or use this information for any purposes other than those discussed with the individual who shared it with you. Your access to these documents may be revoked or terminated at any time, with or without notice.
