How to Add a Trust to Your Will-Based Estate Plan

How do I add a Trust to my Will?

If you already have a will through FastWill and want to add a Trust, you can easily do this from your account. Adding a Trust is like an upgrade—it costs a bit more, but all the information you've already provided remains intact. You'll simply be adding extra documents for the Trust to your existing plan.

I want a Trust-Based Estate Plan, but it is only allowing me to purchase a Will-Based Estate Plan at checkout!

If you have already started filling out the questionnaire for a Will, you'll need to first purchase the Will and then upgrade to the Trust. You'll only pay the difference between the two plans for the upgrade to the Trust.

How to Add a Trust to Your Will-Based Estate Plan

To upgrade to a Trust-based estate plan, follow these steps:

1. Click My Account.

2. Click Profile & Settings.

3. Scroll down to the Add-ons section.

4. Click Add a Trust.

5. Complete the checkout process—you'll now be upgraded to a Trust-based estate plan.

All of your information will be saved, but we recommend revisiting each section, as the Trust is structured a bit differently from the Will.
