How to Add a 'Legacy Contact' to Access Your Account

What is a legacy contact?

A legacy contact is a person you designate to have read-only access to your FastWill account data and information after your death, contingent upon providing proof of death and identity.

How does a designated legacy contact access account information?

Upon your death, your designated legacy contact can reach out to our Member Support team for access to your FastWill account data and information, provided they submit proof of death and identity.

What will a legacy contact get access to?

Your legacy contact will have access to view an inventory of assets, an unsigned digital copy of your estate plan documents, and any uploaded documents.

Please note that, under current laws, the unsigned estate plan document stored on the FastWill website is not legally enforceable. It’s important to ensure your executor or trustee knows where to find the executed (fully signed) version of your estate plan. For more information on managing your documents, check out our guide: How to Finalize and Manage Your Completed Documents.
